Spectra Electrical Services

The roots of Spectra Electrical Services, Inc. (SES) begin in 1995, when a large, Tempe-based General Contractor started up an in-house Electrical Division at the request of one of its largest Clients. Finding success in the "one-stop-shop" approach with this particular Client, the concept was expanded to other existing Clients and eventually took on a life of its own. The Electrical Division grew steadily in both revenue and personnel, as expanding its services and project portfolio. In 2001, due to the rapid expansion and success of the Electrical Division, it was decided by the Executive Management of the General Contractor that in order to for the Electrical Division to go to the "next level", it must stand as its own separate entity. Thus, the assets of the Electrical Division were sold to the Management of the Electrical Division and Spectra Electrical Services, Inc. was launched in the fall of 2001.

While starting a business post-9/11 was not the easiest (and some might say not the smartest) thing to do, the staff at SES rose to the occasion and began to help distance SES from its previous life and by the end of 2002, the separation was complete in terms of Client understanding and acceptance.

With initial annual revenues of $5.0M, SES has grown in to a mid-sized full-service Electrical Contractor with annual revenues of $15.0M and a staff of 18 experienced management professionals working hand-in-hand with our field staff of 85-95 electricians.
